Important COVID Information for all classes starting September 2021
Singing and the playing of wind instruments are activities that spread respiratory droplets, and doing so in large groups has the potential to become a super spreader event. To do our part to minimize the spread of COVID-19, and keep our students safe, we now require that all students over the age of 12 and who have the ability, be vaccinated to register for a Young at Arts class.
If you are under 12, you do not need to do anything.
If you are over 12, please provide proof of vaccination by uploading a photo of your vaccination card when prompted. Please do not provide any other health, medical, or genetic information, or any family history, please provide only a photo of your vaccination card. If you are unable to be vaccinated due to a disability, please upload a doctor / clergy note when prompted to confirm your accommodation. If you are not vaccinated and don’t have an approved accommodation, you will not be permitted to participate in the class.
In accordance with CDC recommendations, Young at Arts will continue to do the following in order to keep our students, staff and the other members of the Christ Church building safe:
Hold rehearsals outside or in highly ventilated rooms with open windows and Medify Air purifiers.
Maintain COVID questionnaires for contact tracing before entering the building
Take temperatures at the door
Keep hand sanitizer at entry and exit points
Maintain proper social distancing
Maintain mask wearing as recommended by the CDC
Clean surfaces, most notably high touch surfaces, props, pencils, microphones and instruments after each use.
As COVID-19 and the recommendations of the public health officials continues to evolve, we will update our policies and procedures, as necessary. Our goal is to keep our staff and students as safe as possible.
We thank you for your understanding.
